The Duraflame fireplace electric is absolutely one of a kind.

It has been made with energy efficient LED Light Technology and gives a realistic flame effect. You may even forget it is electrical and think it is a real fire. It is very cozy with its ember bed and glowing logs. It has a universal on and off remote, the remote control enables you to easily adjust the fireside’s settings making the fire higher or lower as well as brighter or dimmer. The Duraflame units have heaters that provide supplemental heat of up to 400 square feet. The blower of the heater is at the bottom, meaning that the top and front are always cool to the touch. The flame effect is reflected on the back of the firebox and the multifunction remote will allow you to control the heater and flame.

The Duraflame electric fireplace has many advantages over other hearthsides such as the Dimplex wood burner:

  • It is relatively cheap.
  • It is smaller in size, which means a perfect fit in a small fireplace and less room taken if it has to be places along a wall.
  • It is possible to control the flame size as well as the brightness giving lighting and ambiance for all situations.
  • It is lightweight and compact which makes it extremely easy  to move to other areas of the house.
  • Unlike Dimplex that has a metal back, which flames reflect, Duraflame is free standing and reflects on the back of the Franklin fire box.

There are other things that that you can do with Duraflame such shut off the flame and leaving the logs glowing, or vice versa. The remote even allows you to turn the heat on and off at will. The logs make a slight crackling sound like that of real burning fire. The sound is however not obnoxiously loud. Its fan is also barely audible which makes it therefore pleasant to sit in front of it with a book or just to relax. When you are deeply ingrained in your reading you will not even notice the crackles in the background.

It is not difficult to set up the Duraflame electrical fireplace as it comes with simple instructions. It takes around 30 minutes or less to assemble to a fully functioning, relax on the couch, state. You don’t even have to worry about the power consumption as it is tested to draw only a few amps. When turned up to the maximum temperature, it will only draw up to 10amps.

Which model of Duraflame electrical fire-place heater would you have? Or which one would best fit into your living room?
